The Rega (Swiss Air-Rescue) is the air rescue service which provides emergency medical assistance in Switzerland, notably in mountains but also in cases of life-threatening emergencies elsewhere. They will also return a patron to Switzerland from a foreign country if they are in need of urgent medical care. Within Swtizerland, rescue and patient transfers are performed using helicopters, while ambulance jets are used for international missions. A non-profit organisation, the bulk of Rega’s funding comes from its two million patrons.
Clockwork are working with Rega on a scientific study to measure and assess the fatigue risk associated with both their helicopter and ambulance jet operations.
