Clockwork go to Brazil!
In November 2010 Clockwork Research were invited to deliver the JAA course ‘An Introduction to Fatigue Risk Management Systems’ to 20 representatives from ANAC (the National Civil Aviation Authority of Brazil).
The 2-day course was held at ANAC’s Rio de Janeiro training centre and was the first time the course has been delivered in South America. It was also the first time we have trained a group comprised solely of representatives from a regulatory authority. The group included human factors specialists, engineers, psychologists, and individuals responsible for the regulation of various aspects of civil aviation in the region, from flight and pilot safety to maintenance operations.
Reviewing what was a very successful first experience of delivering the course in Brazil, Dr Paul Jackson, Clockwork’s managing director said: “One of the factors that made this course so successful was the range of professional backgrounds of the students. This made the discussions during the various interactive sessions particularly interesting, as the group brought so many different perspectives to the issues being discussed.”
