Clockwork drug driving report released source: Clockwork ResearchA Clockwork Research report has been published as a key supporting document to Sir Peter North's 'Report of the Review of Drink and Drug Driving Law'. Written by Clockwork's Dr Paul Jackson and Cassie Hilditch, 'A Review of Evidence Related to Drug Driving in the UK' summarises the prevalence of drug driving, effectiveness of current controls and alternative approaches to drug driving legislation. Launching the report, Dr Jackson commented: "Our research has highlighted the lack of recent data on the extent and impact of drug driving in the UK. However, we have also identified a number of data sources which have the potential to provide valuable information on the extent of the problem and the effectiveness of the various countermeasures currently being employed.' "We are delighted that the North Report included so many of our recommendations and hope that the Government will recognise this opportunity to have a significant impact on this pressing road safety problem." Clockwork are currently investigating the options available for the collection and analysis of data relating to drug driving cases to provide a current and accurate picture of the incidence of drug driving in the UK. 06/06/10
