Computer-based training
Training to raise awareness of the consequences of fatigue and the effective countermeasures crew can implement both at home and at work is a key element of an organisation’s management of fatigue. Computer-based training offers an effective way of delivering this training to a dispersed workforce.
An effective training programme also provides an opportunity to introduce employees to the company fatigue management procedures: setting out the company fatigue policy, describing the responsibilities of the company and of the individual with regard to managing fatigue, and explaining new processes and procedures that are being introduced as part of the FRMS. Computer-based training (including e-learning or online training) is also an excellent way to supplement classroom sessions given by CRM instructors, and ensures that essential information such as policies and procedures are delivered to a large, distributed workforce in a consistent, standardised manner.
Clockwork Fatigue and Alertness Management Training programmes are designed to ensure compliance with ICAO, IATA, EASA (ORO.FTL.250) and any local regulatory requirements. These programmes also conform to SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, the international industry standards for delivering e-learning.
